|Recommended: YesPeaceful and perfect location — Its so close to everything and the apartment style is perfect for me.
|Recommended: YesSatisfied — Very cozy, quiet
|Recommended: YesBeautiful apartments but falling apart — I love my apartment because it has more character than any other apartment I've seen in Durham. I love the big windows, high ceilings, wood floors and gorgeous kitchens. But there are significant problems that never seem to be fixed and it could really use a renovation- for instance, the carpets are really stained and old, there's a leak that stained the ceiling that never got fixed, there are moldy fixtures in the bathroom I was flat out told would never be fixed, and there are paint splatters in various places. Work orders usually take a long time if ever to complete and there are always cockroaches. The air conditioning and heating systems are also kind of wonky. The staff is very friendly and for the price it's great to have a lovely apartment, pool, and gym.
|Recommended: YesA clean and comfortable place to live that is perfectly located — The unit I live in is clean and the right size for my needs The maintenance team is helpful and quick about responding to needs It is the perfect location This spot is perfectly situated for easy access to Duke's campus and downtown Durham
|Recommended: YesBeautiful Historically Rich Property — It is a beautifully built and renovated property that is kept up well.
|Recommended: YesWorth the low cost and comfortable — This apartment is worth the money you pay for it. There are little issues here and there and the kitchen space isn't big but totally worth the price I am paying for it each month. It is private, although I can hear neighbors coming into the building and above. Comfortable and a great place to call home. Friendly staff who get to know your name and no trouble finding parking.
|Recommended: YesUA-Durham — Not bad when you consider all other options and the timing.
|Recommended: YesAffordable place with some trade offs — I like how easy the parking is. But the noise insulation is not well. You can often clearly hear your neighbors and loud cars at no matter day or night. The apartment also have cockroaches problems, and sadly even pest control didn't do much. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the work orders are usually solved in a timely manner. The location is nice and affordable, and for that you get some trade offs. So overall its a fairly decent place.
|Recommended: YesAmazing place to live — It is a very nice place to live and safe. Plus it is really a central location to Duke and to Downtown
Thank you for your feeback!
|Recommended: YesNice and quiet — I would recommend living here
Thank you for your feedback!
|Recommended: YesGreat location and very affordable I definitely recommend this place to anyone. Despite being close to a busy road, I had no issues with noise. It was close to everything a 5-minute bus ride to Duke and a 10-minute drive to everything else. The management is superb. They are very friendly and helpful. I had to move out due to COVID, and they made the whole process to leave the lease very easy. It is an old building so it comes with some disadvantages like run-down bathrooms but overall the apartment itself is great. Plenty of storage and kitchen space. Lots of windows. Plus, I only had to pay for internet and energy in terms of utilities so the utility bill was very small too Overall, a great place.
|Recommended: YesLeasing office staff is super helpful — Even when moving in a couch, one of the leasing office workers stopped everything to help out. They go above and beyond for their job
|Recommended: YesValue for money if sharing, very courteous staff — The overall rating is high only as it is cheap. However, given the very old electrical appliances, the electricity bill gets very above normal. The poor quality of the property is compensated by the very courteous staff, they are polite and try to fix your problems in a timely fashion. For future residents - be careful you choose your apartment carefully and do not rent out without seeing pictures of the inside. The staff refused to show me pictures before I moved in and I made a misinformed decision and had to leave the place as soon as the lease ended as the apartment was terrible. However, rest assured, there are some good floor plans available and try to opt for 2 bedroom apartments. Furniture package The quality of most furniture was good except the mattress and couch - the springs were all poking and it clearly felt old and used, I had to clean everything under the cushions before I could use it. Getting an apartment at UA and renting furniture is not a bad idea for a first year international graduate student - just make sure you make an informed choice and know there are other options if they refuse.
|Recommended: YesGood — Spacious, cheap, good lcoation.
|Recommended: YesGreat Experience — I just moved in and there were some things that needed fixing and the staff here was incredibly helpful. I love the apartment and feel very at home here.
