|Recommended: YesGood Value for the Price — The location is perfect for students. It is not a luxury or brand new complex, which comes with some issues with heat insulation. However, the office staff is friendly and helpful and the value for the price is great. I recommend this complex for Duke students looking for an affordable place with a very quick commute to campus.
|Recommended: YesLocation — Centrally located, good environment, pet friendly, some issues with mosquitoes, but pest control is up to date. You can hear your neighbor's footsteps upstairs, as well as the water pipes. But overall a good place to live due to location and price of the rent.
|Recommended: YesGreat Homey Feel — I chose univesity apartments because the buildings have character. the environment does not feel over sterilized in the way that new buildings do. I appreciate the staff and the events and the way that they help facilitate the community feel. I also appreciate the maintence staff who always come through swiftly and take care of my issues.
|Recommended: YesLocation Gold — Perfectly located between both Duke University's West campus and downtown Durham, University Apartments has been one of the best places I've lives in Durham. Although aging, this community is well maintained, priced competitively, and a true joy to be a part of. I recommend attending one of the many socials offered by the fabulous office staff.
|Recommended: YesBeen living for 3 years and good overall — Easy access to parking, friendly office staff, good maintenance
|Recommended: YesIs one of the best community to live in — Its a friendly community with access to down town Durham, Duke University, Duke Hospital , the freeway and close to the Interstate, and it also has access to many shopping centers and nice places to eat and dine.
|Recommended: YesBeautiful — Staff are notably kind I am thrilled with the decision.
|Recommended: YesNice place to live — Great location So close to downtown Durham. The apartment is nice and the staff is great. I do wish the heating air units didn't cause so much moisture in the rooms. The apartment access stairwell hallways should be cleaned more consistently, as that's where bugs like to hang out and things get dusty quickly. From what I've seen, they continue to make improvements and I've overall enjoyed living here
|Recommended: YesAbout the new online system — I like the new system, but it will be better if I can find if there is a package for me on the website.
|Recommended: YesVery practical — Great location, unique design and layout, reasonably priced
|Recommended: YesPretty decent and affordable. — A good place near the campus, staff are good while equipments are a bit out of dated.
|Recommended: YesComfortable and Affordable Apartment — It is a good place to live for the price. You should not expect many upscale finishes, as these are not luxury apartments. Overall, things are clean and I have not had any issues with creatures beyond what is typical of North Carolina- bugs are common in the south, so there will be an occasional visitor . The staff are kind and helpful. You get what you pay for here, which is a perfectly nice apartment at a great price. If you are a Duke student you are in a great location, and the complex is also close to downtown which is great.
|Recommended: YesGreat Apartment — After 2 years of living here during my time in grad school at Duke, I can happily say I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable and convenient place to live. From accepting packages for us to all the giveaways to quick responses to maintenance requests, University Apartments definitely shows it cares about its residents. No major issues whatsoever
